Alexander Technique Teachers
Terms and Conditions
The Alexander Technique is a system of re-education and is not a therapy. Clients, who are referred to as ‘pupils’, are responsible for the application of what is learned during lessons to their daily activities.
Alexander Technique Teachers are teachers not therapists, and we have no medical training. We do not diagnose or advise on medical conditions, and pupils with any medical condition are advised to seek advice from a doctor.
We do not make any claim that there will be any improvement in any medical or other condition as a result of undertaking a course of lessons.
We do not make any claim that performance in any activity will improve as a result of taking a course of Alexander lessons.
Pupils should be aware that teaching the Alexander Technique is a ‘hands on’ activity and that physical contact will occur, whilst the pupil remains fully clothed.
Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied during the lesson by a parent or nominated responsible adult.
Pupils should cancel an appointment if they are, or believe they are, suffering, or coming down with any infectious or contagious aliment. We reserve the right to decline to see a pupil who arrives for an appointment suffering from such a condition.
A charge of up to the full appointment fee is payable when appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, unless cancellation is due to contagious or infectious illness.
Payment methods are cash or cheque payable at the end of the appointment.
Loose comfortable clothing should be worn for lessons and females should wear trousers.
